Event Fundraiser: 2019 Wheeler Mission Drumstick Dash
The Drumstick Dash has been a Thanksgiving tradition in my house since 2009. Each year family members and friends would participate in a fun race to support the Wheeler Mission. My mom, Dianne Bulleri, LOVED seeing all the costumes and hats. Each year she would make sure everyone in our group had the latest and greatest turkey hat. 2012 was the last time my mom was able to participate as she passed away unexpectedly two weeks later. The Drumstick Dash was the last thing I ever did with my mom.
Since 2013, I have raised over $10,000 in memory of my mom! I cannot tell you how healing it is to still remember her and know her memory lives on in each meal served in her memory. The Wheeler Mission was so important to her. My mom NEVER wanted to see anyone go without a warm meal. In the spirit of my mom, donate, pour yourself a Brandy Manhattan, over decorate your home, and invite strangers to eat at your table.
